Leprechauns, Legos and Losers

This weekend was grrrreat! Saturday morning I left early to go to Vero & Andrew's, and my left wrist was really causing me a lot of pain. We drove to Brighton, where Lisa (Andrew's sis) and Stuart (her husband) were hosting an L-Party for her birthday. Hanging out in the sun all afternoon just chatting and drinking was just like heaven. I got Lisa a bottle of champagne and V & A gave her a handbag, a 512MB memory card and other stuff. Then everyone arrived, there was a Lumberjack and a tennis player whose name starts with an L, I was a loser (a football fan, cheering for Team Canada, which doesn't exist), there were characters like Lara Croft or the Lego Man, Lea (Big Brother) and a Leprechaun. We had tons of food, music and alcohol, we danced on the high deck, we had a BBQ, I met wonderful people and I ended up eating some more and chatting with Stu about everything and nothing, until the sun was rising. We slept at their place and we left this morning. My wrist is perfectly fine! We stopped at Andrew's parents' place on the way back, to mow the lawn and water the plants. SUCH a nice garden! But so much trouble.... and I spent the afternoon on the comp, and watching Shaun of the Dead and Dr Who. I got Vero & Andrew a bottle of wine, and made sure it was one that they likes from the Wine Testing of 2 weeks ago.
Funky week coming up: MAY WEEK. Students celebrate the end of the exams and go punting day and night. Today was Suicide Sunday on the river, thank god I wasn't there. And this week we'll be almost open 24/7. If only I could be trained as cashier (which I'll probably be) I could make more money!
